Types of Communities By: Katherine, Abigail and Diamond

Rural Rural communities are called the country or farmland. There are fewer people more spread out from one another. There is lots of open space and natural areas. People usually must drive to places because it is too far to walk. Sometimes the roads are not paved so people need special types of vehicles like tractors. Buildings in rural communities are more spread out.

Urban communities Urban is a city. There is not very much open space. There are lots of people. People often take the bus, taxi, or train. Buildings in urban communitys are vary tall. Some buildings are so tall in the sky.

Suburban There are many natural areas. Communities are not as close as in cities. Sometimes people will take trains into the city. People in the suburbs often drive but sometimes walk or take the bus. Often homes in suburban communities have only one family living in them. Sometimes families live in apartments. They are not skyscrapers.
