Answer Key What is a force? A PUSH or PULL To describe a force both the MAGNITUDE (SIZE) and the DIRECTION are needed. Unbalanced forces occur when FORCES ARE UNEQUAL IN SIZE. Net Force < 1N and causes a change in motion. Balanced forces are EQUAL in size and OPPOSITE in direction. BALANCED forces do not cause a change in an objects motion.
