Trademark Usage Rules By Trademark Angel

PUT TRADEMARK SYMBOLS NEXT TO YOUR TRADEMARKS: Put ® symbol next to your trademark and logo to indicate you use them as trademarks (i.e. as source indicators). You can put TM symbol even if your trademark is not registered. JENRIDE® or JENRIDETM. The appropriate symbols should be used in all printed materials and advertising.

ALWAYS USE TRADEMARKS DISTINCTIVELY: The first letter for each of the JENRIDE® Trademarks should be capitalized. Correct: Jenride® Incorrect: jenride You can also do the following to make your mark stand out: capitalize JENRIDE® in its entirety, underline JENRIDE®, put JENRIDE® in italics, make it bold: JENRIDE®.

ALWAYS USE A TRADEMARK DISCLAIMER: Jenride®, [insert other trademarks including any specialty programs/courses (e.g., JENRIDE GOLD®, GOLD by Jenride® and Jenride logos are trademarks of Jenride Fitness Inc.) If your license your trademark, your licensee should indicate that the marks are used under license: JENRIDE and JENRIDE logos are trademarks of Jenride Fitness Inc. Used under license.

NEVER ALTER YOUR TRADEMARKS: Do not change the graphics, colors, spelling, insert hyphens or combine two words into one. Incorrect: "You’ll love Jenride-yoga" Incorrect: “Jenriders love our classes” Incorrect: “Yenride” instead of “Jenride”

NEVER USE YOUR TRADEMARKS AS NOUNS OR VERBS: For example, never use "JENRIDE" as a verb to describe an exercise program or class. It is incorrect to say: “I love to JENRIDE”. It is incorrect to say: “Jenriding is my favorite activity”.   It is correct to say: "I love the JENRIDE® classes" It is correct to say: “My favorite activity is going to JENRIDE® studio”

Generic marks Remember about generic marks and take proper care to educate public about proper use of your trademarks. CELLOPHANE DRY ICE KEROSENE ZIPPER LAUNDROMAT TV DINNER LINOLEUM ZIP CODE ESALATOR APP STORE ASPIRIN HEROIN

IN SUMMARY, YOUR TRADEMARKS SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN THE FOLLOWING WAYS: With the initial letter or all letters not capitalized — Incorrect: “jenride” or “jenride fitness”. Correct: “Jenride®” or “JENRIDE®”. Altered, Modified or used as possessives — Altered, for example, "Jendrive" ,“jenriders” or “jenriders’ members”. As a Verb, for example, "once you jenride, you’ll never stop". As a Noun, for example, "Jenride is my favorite exercise". Quote marks “ above are just shown to illustrate the point.
