1) Ação como sujeito de frase: Swimming is good for you. Há outros casos de uso de gerúndio, mas que não se referem a tempos contínuos. Observe: 1) Ação como sujeito de frase: Swimming is good for you. She told me that playing soccer motivates her. 2) Complemento de alguns verbos (to admit, to deny, to avoid, to consider, to delay, to deslike, to imagine, to postpone, to enjoy, to suggest, to quit, to miss, to mind, to face, etc) Susan likes reading.
