Alliance Update – CPD Facts! ‘Headteacher Challenge Groups’ provided a new and flexible way of challenging our leaders. 31 headteachers took part – 100% who returned an evaluation said they would continue working in this way next year, either with the same or different colleagues. 18 New HLTAs have been trained and have passed their assessment – 100% pass rate so far! 16 middle leaders completed their National Professional Qualification for Middle Leadership

Alliance Update – CPD Facts! 19 NQTs took part in the Alliance’s NQT Programme 18 RQTs took part in the Alliance’s RQT Programme 118 colleagues were trained by Target Tracker across 39 schools as part of the Assessment Working Party’s solution to ‘Life without Levels’ 62 teaching assistants from 20 schools attended the TA development sessions

Alliance Update School to School Support 11/12 SLEs have been deployed either to support schools or to lead aspects of our CPD programme. In total 76 days of support has been provided. 9 PSTs have all been utilised to provide demonstration lessons. In total, 31 visits to PSTs have been completed, many observations being watched by a number of teachers.

Alliance Update School to School Support The Alliance has provided support for 7 schools via the ‘School to School Support Fund’ (for schools with an Requires Improvement judgement for Overall Effectiveness). Of these schools: 1 moved into a category 1 stayed at ‘Requires Improvement’ 2 moved to ‘Good’ 1 is awaiting publication of the report 2 are awaiting inspection

Future Plans – School Evaluations Earlier dates, full schedule produced for the whole year and avoid changing them Secondary Involvement Better use of data to inform planning at cluster level Leadership Development Opportunities Clarify direction of travel – NPQML or something else? Deputy/Assistant Headteachers’ Programme – NPQSL? Church School Leadership and developing the distinctiveness of our VC and VA schools Secondment opportunities – across LA borders
