9. Entry requirements for School Direct routes
Honours Degree – a second class degree or higher. (Secondary applicants – degree must be in the subject you wish to teach or in a closely related degree).
We might be able to consider applicants with only 3rd in their first degree if they have a masters or PhD in the subject they like to train in to teach.
GCSE at grade C or higher in maths and English Language. Primary applicants must also have GCSE at grade C or higher in science. We do not accept equivalency tests.
Overseas qualifications should be checked via UK NARIC before application. See Please admissions tutor before application with a copy of your NARIC and original certificate.
Skills tests need to be passed by 31 August 2017
Subject Knowledge Enhancement Course completed by 31 August 2017 for secondary applicants without enough subject knowledge in their degree
