What is the effect of social learning within an organization? Social learning can have a positive or negative effect within an organization. Leadership practices, overall organizational morale are some of the factors impacting positive or negative outcomes in social learning environments. What is the effect of social learning within an organization?

Social learning allows seasoned and experienced employees to interact with non-experienced employees. It allows persons with different skill sets to interact and merge, share, and discuss practices to increase performance and efficiency. Changes can be the result of inter-department learning environments that identify issues and problem-solve as a group effort to benefit both or multiple departments within an organization. How might a social learning component train employees and change the culture within an organization?

Trainers within organizations will always be needed Trainers within organizations will always be needed. A trainers position or rather said, function would transition from trainer to facilitator and in some cases a mediator. How might social learning affect the role of the trainer within an organization?

Organizational rules, regulations and expectations are crucial in addressing professionalism of the organization as a whole, and individual employees. Clear and precise communication is crucial to employees covering the reasons and importance of a professional image and direct reflection of an individuals action/reputation to the whole organization. How should employee accountability and online reputations be addressed?

Clear and precise behaviors and expectations need to be established prior to implementation of any social learning platform. Behaviors include posting, access, and information access on the platform to be implemented. What ground rules should be in place before launching a social learning platform?

Interpersonal relationships and productivity improvements will be the result of positive social learning environments. Participants with different skill sets, different job functions, and from different departments will be able to attain an understanding in other employees job functions. How might interpersonal relationships and productivity improve within an organization because of an integrated approach to training and professional development?

Benefits include information sharing on demand, ability to create informal and open floor environments, problem-solving, performance increases, bridge cultural diverse groups. What are some benefits of creating a social learning environment within an organization? 

Cross training and group discussions will allow employees to attain insights in extended areas of organizational operations. It will allow employees to better understand job functions, contribute larger numbers of different individual perspectives for problem-solving, and increase overall moral of employees. How will your strategy for creating a social learning environment as part of the overall training and development offerings improve knowledge and relationships within the organization?
