Summer School Options 2018 Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN) Regular direct contact with a teacher (online) Taught by fully certified Texas teachers Specific start date and end date to course (early June – late July or early August)

Summer School Options 2018 Why not other courses? TxVSN only offer one summer session Due to specific start/end dates there is not enough time to complete 1.0 credit courses in shortened summer school term associated assessments (STAAR or AP) success rates online learning environment is different

Summer School Options 2018 Next Steps: Download forms (starting tomorrow morning): Begin with checklist AISD counseling site AHS, NGC, AMS campus counseling sites Checklist will require completion of an online orientation called the Clue In Also requires a self-assessment and two teacher recommendations

Summer School Options 2018 Next Steps: Submit completed forms to Scott Kessel either via fax or email attachment No later than June 1 (last day of school) Most courses begin sometime week of June 4 Scott Kessel will complete enrollment process for TxVSN courses and follow-up with further details
