The Book Thief: Part 6-7 Quiz! In five minutes we’re going to take a quiz over parts 6-7 of The Book Thief. Butterfly Projects During this unit, we’ve focused on the story of Liesel Meminger, a fictional girl who lived during the Holocaust. For this project, we’re going to shift our focus to non-fiction. Your job for the next two days will be to choose a card with a real person who lived during the Holocaust. You will read the information about their life and represent them on a paper butterfly you will create to be displayed in the classroom. Take the next five minutes to choose a card from the front table. Pick someone you’re drawn to.

Butterfly Projects To ensure that your butterfly fully and accurately honors your victim’s life, be sure to include the following somewhere on your butterfly’s body: Your victim’s name (2 pts) Your victim’s date of birth (2 pts) Your victim’s place of birth (2 pts) Two powerful adjectives that describe your victim (4 pts) Two or more powerful images that represent your victim’s life (6 pts) 2-3 sentences that describe your victim’s life before the war (5 pts) 2-3 sentences that describe your victim’s life during the war (5 pts) Butterfly should be cut out and fully colored on the front and back side (4 pts) Total: 30 test points
