4. Ted Talk: “How the Teddy bear Taught Us Compassion”
For our first activity today, we’re going to watch a Ted Talk about humanity’s perceptions about animals.
You handout from the front table will ask you to make several comparisons between what you will learn in the Ted Talk and Animal Farm. You can either answer the questions as you watch, or save it for afterwards; it’s up to you.

5. Animal Farm – Chapter 9 For the rest of class, you have three jobs:
Read Chapter Nine of Animal Farm and annotate as you read. You need at least two sentences per annotation, and at least two annotations per page.
