Starter: The Big picture Create a mind-map: What is DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY? What digital technology have you used during your media production work?

Objectives Today’s Objectives are to: - Show an understanding of what you will be required to do in section A for the G325 exam. - Describing and evaluating how we have used digital technology in our production work. - Demonstrate how to structure an answer to Q1a

Question Focus Question1(a) will ask you to describe and evaluate your skills development over the course of your production work, from Foundation Portfolio to Advanced Portfolio. The focus is on skills development, and the question will require you to discuss one or two specific production practices. The list of practices to which questions will relate is as follows: Digital Technology Creativity Research and planning Post-production Using conventions from real media texts

Digital technologies Digital technologies are tools that convey information in digital form as letters or numbers. The alternative to digital is analog. Unlike computers, humans perceive information as continuous stream by capturing auditory and visual signals.

If the question was.... “Describe how you have used digital technology in your production work and how you ability to use digital technology for production has improved over time”.
