Objective Use this presentation to practice converting, loading and projecting presentations. This presentation will show you how to use some of the features of the Impatica ShowMate and Impatica Viewer. This presentation will show you how to use some of the features of the Impatica ShowMate and Impatica Viewer. The PRACTICE & LEARNING area provides exercises tailored to give you experience using each feature as it is explained in the main presentation area. The NEXT STEPS area tells you what to do after you are done reviewing each slide. Advance to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld. Projecting Presentations On your Windows PC, use Impatica for PowerPoint Mobile Edition to impaticize this .ppt file and then load it onto your handheld. Connect your ShowMate to your handheld, projector and power. On your handheld, start the Impatica Viewer, click on this presentation and choose Project. If you are displaying this presentation using your Impatica ShowMate, congratulations! You have successfully: Converted Loaded, and Projected your presentation. If you are not yet projecting this presentation through your Impatica ShowMate, refer to the ShowMate User’s Manual to find out how to complete these steps. To project a presentation you must convert your presentation, load it onto your handheld and connect your handheld to the ShowMate. If you can see this PowerPoint presentation on your projection screen you have done these things correctly. If you are not yet projecting this presentation through your Impatica ShowMate, refer to the Impatica ShowMate User’s Manual to find out how to complete the above steps. An overview of these steps is below. On your Windows PC, use Impatica for PowerPoint to impaticize this .ppt file. Transfer the impaticized .imp file onto your Windows Mobile using Active Sync or by copying it onto the handheld’s memory card. Connect your ShowMate to your handheld, projector and power. On your handheld, start the Impatica Viewer, click on this presentation and choose “Project”. Advance to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld. Tour of the handheld View When projecting a presentation, the handheld view will display two areas: While projecting this presentation through your ShowMate, take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the handheld view. The ShowMate Status area, including: A presentation progress bar, indicating which slide is being projected A slide wheel, indicating the progress within the current slide The handheld view has two areas: The SHOWMATE STATUS area, which has a presentation progress bar that indicates which slide is being projected, and a slide wheel that indicates the progress within the current slide. The SLIDE VIEW area, which displays a slide list (default), slide notes or slide text. Advance to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld. The Slide View area, displaying: A slide list, slide notes or slide text The slide list by default Advance to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld.

Basic Presentation Navigation Navigating your presentation is easy with these basic controls: We’ll practice these and other controls in the upcoming slides. Return to the previous slide: press Del Advance to next animation: press Space or Step Advance to the next slide: press Enter To navigate your presentation: Return to previous slide: DEL Advance to the next animation: SPACE or STEP To advance to the next slide: ENTER We’ll practice these and other controls in the upcoming slides. Advancing The Presentation Did you see three items in this box? If not, press the step key until they all appear. Don’t press it too many times though, or you will advance onto the next slide. Advancing the presentation by one step displays the next animation or slide in the presentation. It’s just like pressing Space while projecting from PowerPoint. This slide contains three animations. To advance to the next animation: Press Step on your handheld OR Press the Space key on your handheld Animation One Animation Two Advancing the presentation by one step displays the next animation or slide in the presentation. It’s just like pressing SPACE while projecting from PowerPoint. This slide contains three animations. To advance to the next animation press Step or Space on your handheld OR choose SHOWMATE STEP from the presentation menu. Go to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld. Animation Three Go to the next slide now by pressing Step on your handheld.

Show Next Slide To skip over a slide’s animations and go to You have stepped to the next animation, rather than skipped to the next slide. Advance to the next slide now by: Selecting “ShowMate Next” from the presentation menu. To skip over a slide’s animations and go to the next slide: Choose ShowMate Next from the presentation menu. To skip over a slide’s animations and go to the next slide choose SHOWMATE NEXT from the presentation menu. Go to the next slide now. Go to the next slide now.

Show Previous Slide To go backward by one slide: Press the Del key OR Choose ShowMate Previous from the presentation menu. Practice moving backward and forward one slide at a time by going to the previous slide, then using the ShowMate Next command to return to this slide. To go backward by one slide press the DEL key OR choose SHOWMATE PREVIOUS from the presentation menu. Practice moving backward and forward one slide at a time by going to the previous slide, then choosing the SHOWMATE NEXT command to return to this slide. When you are confident using the SHOWMATE PREVIOUS command, advance to the next slide. When you are comfortable with the Previous slide command, advance to the next slide.

In linked mode: The handheld view remains in synch with the ShowMate Navigating the handheld view affects the projected presentation To return to Linked mode from Unlinked mode at any time select LINK VIEWS from the presentation menu. To use link views to advance slides while still viewing notes with link views on, select NEXT NOTES from the presentation menu. Advance to the next slide using linked views (With link views on, select NEXT NOTES from the presentation menu). Advance to the next slide using linked views. Unlinked Views In unlinked mode: Use unlink views to show different slides on the handheld and ShowMate now: In unlinked mode: The handheld view may show a different slide than what is currently projected. Navigation of the handheld view and ShowMate view are independent. To project the slide currently in the handheld view use the Project Slide menu item. To view on the handheld the currently projected slide, use the Show Projected menu item. From the presentation menu choose Unlink Views. While still in notes view, choose Next Notes. You will see the notes for the next slide on your handheld, while this slide remains projected. To also advance the ShowMate slide, choose Project Slide from the presentation menu. In unlinked mode: The handheld view may show a different slide than what is currently projected. Navigation of the handheld view and ShowMate view are independent. To project the slide currently in the handheld view use the PROJECT SLIDE menu item. To view on the handheld the currently projected slide, use the SHOW PROJECTED menu item. Advance to the next slide using unlinked views. (With unlink views selected, choose NEXT NOTES then project slide.) Advance to the next slide using unlinked views. (With unlink views selected, choose Next Notes then project slide. )
