Famous Black Americans

Accomplishments and Contributions African Americans have had an impact upon slavery by working as abolitionists and helping to free others from bondage. They worked to eliminate segregation. Some began schools and colleges to educate other African Americans. Some were pioneers in their field such as sports, science, or medicine. Today many African Americans are high ranking officials in our nation’s government. Their accomplishments and contributions are varied and numerous.
