My Family My husband My children daughter, Jennifer Mark My children daughter, Jennifer sons, Keith and Kyle

My Goals To give you the academic and social skills you need to progress to fifth grade. To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment. To help you make new friends and discover new interests.

Class Subjects The subjects we cover during fourth grade are: Reading and writing Math Science Social studies Music and P.E

Reading We have many great books to read. You will have book reports to complete.

Writing Mrs. Knight makes writing very fun! You will take a TAKS writing test this year.

Math This is our second year with a new math book called EnvisionMath. You will have access to it on the internet

Science Our first unit in science is Weather. We will visit the Science Lab every week.

Social Studies We will learn all about TEXAS. You will have projects to complete.

Classroom Community Our classroom is a community. In our community, we have rules to help us get along with each other. Our class rules are: Be respectful and responsible. Be organized and follow directions. Be on time. Be prepared.

Homework I will assign homework as needed. You must read for at least 20 minutes every night. You will get a “Hole Punch” on your HOT card if you return your homework the next day. If you need extra time to work on your homework, you can go to homework club during recess to work on it.

Tardiness School starts at 8:20 A.M. If you aren’t in the classroom by the time the second bell rings, please check in at the school office before coming to class. If you are tardy four times, the school will contact your parents.

Let’s Have a Great Year!
