GUIDED GROUpS Groups will meet every day during the block. Students not at the table will work on reading skill work\any unfinished work & silent reading OR will be working on the computer on an assigned website Expectation is for quiet work time

Math enVision Math Curriculum Set up in topics with about 4-5 lessons per topic Homework will almost always be started in class with what is not done sent home to finish Quizzes/Tests at the conclusion of topics and potential quiz/checks throughout the unit

Social Studies/Science/Language Arts Mr. Kohls– Social Studies Mr. Reade– Language Arts Mrs. Damron – Science Each rotation last 40 minutes. If any homework is assigned they will write it down in their planners in that classroom. The teacher in their rotation will enter grades for that subject area.

Assignments/Planner Planner is filled out every morning and checked almost every day in class Assignments are to be turned in first thing in the morning unless otherwise noted Student is to highlight any assignments they do not get done during the day so they know it is homework

Restroom/Hall Pass Monthly pass Gets punched or marked if a student forgets a crucial material in class or needs to use the restroom outside of the two group breaks If lost, student will get another one after serving recess time

Behavior Pirate Praise Tickets Can be handed out by any teacher Rewarded for doing the RIGHT thing Can be collected to play a game at lunch or to earn prizes in the room

gradebook The online grade book is accessed at skyward – piperschools.net Standards based and not accessible until later in the quarter---mid September. Grades will be taken throughout but the goal is to show mastery of skills for the new 5th grade standards

MAKEUP WORK I will try to have makeup work ready and waiting in the office by 1:30 p.m. That follows my plan period and gives me time to get it ready plus see what we all get to in the morning. Rotation teachers may wait to get their work to them All work will be in a folder and the student should turn all work back in in the folder at once. Folder can be worked on at school and at home. Please make sure if they take it home they bring it back even if they do not finish so they can do in free time here.

BIRTHDAYS Birthday treats can be sent in if they are store-bought. With our schedule, it would help if you let me know your are sending them in so I can make sure to block off part of the day.
