“Foldable” Book Project: Add a ribbon to a corner…

“Foldable” Book Cover: Set the cardboard squares about ½ inch apart, printed side up. Run a line of glue across, as shown. Lay your ribbon across the glue, with the center of the ribbon between the squares.

“Foldable” Book Cover: Put glue on the shiny side of one cardboard square and center one piece of colored paper, design side up, onto it. Carefully trim the corners of the designer paper so that it ends at the corners of the cardboard. Do not cut ribbon!

“Foldable” Book Cover: Put glue on the shiny side of one square and center one piece of colored paper, design side up, onto it. Carefully trim the corners of the designer paper so that it ends at the corners of the cardboard. Do not cut ribbon!

“Foldable” Book Cover: Repeat for the other side. Let dry for a few minutes. Then flip the whole structure over.

“Foldable” Book Cover: Glue the extended edges of the designer paper to the back side of the cardboard. Your cover is now complete! Let it dry while you make the pages.

“Foldable” Book Pages: Make three folds: “hotdog, hotdog, taco”

“Foldable” Book Pages: Bring the folded points of the “taco fold” together (toward you) so that they go inside of the two squares.

“Foldable” Book Pages: You will now have a “square sandwich” with folds inside. Repeat this procedure for all of your squares.

“Foldable” Book Assembly: Next, put glue on one of the outside square surfaces. Attach a second square to it, making sure they both “open” the same direction. Repeat this procedure for all of your pages.

“Foldable” Book Assembly: Now glue the pages to the inside of the cover, again making sure that the pages can open. You can tie a bow in the ribbon to keep the book secured.

Your “Foldable” Book is finished: Add a ribbon to a corner…
