Feudalism: A Political System Feudal contract Lord granted vassal (lesser lord) a fief (piece of land) Vassal gave lord Pledge of loyalty 40 days military service each year Money payments Advice Protection

The Ten Commandments of the Code of Chivalry From Chivalry by Leon Gautier I. Thou shalt believe all that the Church teaches, and shalt observe all its directions. II. Thou shalt defend the Church.
