Our Mission The Waco ISD Department of Fine Arts will provide superior instruction and arts education opportunities to the students of Waco ISD through a rigorous and engaging TEKS‐based enrichment curriculum in order to develop all students as responsible and integrity driven artists, competitors, performers and members of society.

Funding Support from Fine Arts UIL Academics Additionally, for 2016-2017, FA is exploring budgetary opportunities to support elementary programs in addition to the campus designated funds for programs.

Secondary teachers are expected to complete online F-16/Purchase Requisitions when utilizing Fine Arts allocated monies. These ELECTRONIC forms are available on the Fine Arts web page as indicated to the right. Same is true for bus requests for secondary contests. Of course, all campus designated procedures should be followed without exception regardless of funding source.

ALL Fine Arts activities should be added to the Fine Arts calendar (regardless of Elementary or Secondary). FA teachers should log in to the FA web page and select “Go to Master Calendar” on the HOME page. If they are properly logged in, they will have the option of the GREEN + sign to add an event to the calendar. If it isn’t on the calendar…it is difficult to come support your event! PLEASE encourage your teachers to be diligent in adding Fine Arts activities to the Fine Arts calendar on a regular basis. We want to support your programs, your teachers, and your kids!

That’s not us…. Unfortunately, the Fine Arts Department is not responsible for paying for “field trips” or non- competitive events. Additionally, Letter Jackets and individual student awards are the responsibility of the organizations or the campus.

UIL Academic Coordinator information Please email me the name of your campus UIL Academic Coordinator for 2016-2017 (all levels): larry.carpenter@wacoisd.org

Here to SUPPORT… Here is hoping for a tremendous 2016-2017. Know that the Department of Fine Arts will work to support you, your teachers, your programs, and most importantly, your students as they endeavor in the world of the arts. We are always just a phone call or email away!
