More than a name change – Management to Development More than a name change – A shift in culture

How does that translate to our job descriptions?

Taken from Expectations in all job descriptions… Develop and foster a team environment built on trust, honesty, cooperation, communication and drive to achieve a common goal of incremental chapter and personal improvement/development. Initiative, personal drive and self starting are required. Project management, people management and problem – solving skills are essential. Excellent follow-through is key for success.

Area Coordinator Will provide visionary, creative, and energetic leadership focused on supporting the growth and development of the province directors, collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters and clubs, and house associations in her area.

Area Coordinator (continued) By collaborating with other VST members and encouraging team approaches, the Area Coordinator facilitates forward thinking and proactive strategies and plans for improvement. She provides timely and consistent updates to the Directors of Chapter Development.

Province Director She is the primary liaison to the Fraternity for the officers and leaders of the province. She is responsible for reaching out to other VST members and for convening team approaches to assist chapters and clubs with issues.

Province Director (continued) Is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership for the overall growth and development of the collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters and clubs, and house associations in her province. She is the team member that holds the collective view of the province community.

Province Director (continued) In collaboration with VST members, she provides oversight in all areas – including, but not limited to operations, finance, recruitment, member development, alumnae engagement and housing.

Province Director (continued) She coordinates the development and execution of strategies and plans for improvement. She provides guidance, inspiration, and encouragement.

Primary Responsibilities Through ongoing regular communication with chapters, clubs, and house associations, monitor all aspects of their operations by following the PD Master Calendar, distributed annually by the Directors of Chapter Development. In collaboration with VST members, work to develop strategies and resources to address chapter and club needs/concerns. Monitor progress and seek additional or alternate solutions if necessary.

Primary Responsibilities (continued) Plan, coordinate and lead monthly province conference calls with all team members including specialists for subject matter areas including recruitment, member development, property management, alumnae development and finance Ensure that education and training are provided to collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters/clubs and house associations through personal contact and correspondence.

Primary Responsibilities (continued) Promote and practice cross team collaboration. Provide support and feedback to Chapter Advisors, Alumnae Club and Chapter Presidents, and House Association Presidents concerning the performance of their primary responsibilities. Participate in at least one phone meeting per month with the Area Coordinator.
