Citizenship SOL 3.1 (f and i), 3.11 (a-e)

Opening Activity: What makes a good school citizen? 4 Square Sharing Group Work Directions: Before working assign students to teams of 4, give each student a number 1-4, and name 1 student as a recorder. Each group member will quietly work for a few minutes to answer the question in the assigned part of the organizer. Write upside down, side ways, or what ever works! When the time is up, each team member shares what he or she wrote. Common (repeated) ideas will then be written in the center circle by the team recorded. The question is: What qualities make a good school citizen? When done, discuss the common ideas as a class.
