INSTRUCTIONS FOR UPDATING THE MAPPING OF THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM DS CONNECT NAV

01 This document describes the procedure for downloading ,installing and updating the mapping of the DS Connect Nav system PRESEQUISITES 1- You must own a DS vehicle equipped with navigation system DS Connect Nav 2- An empty USB memory, formatted in FAT32, with a maximum capacity of 16GB. The USB 3.0 standard is preferable to improve the update time

02 PREPARATION OF THE USB MEMORY (USB KEY) The USB memory intended to receive the mapping update must have the format FAT32 / MBR for the system to recognize it. Recommendation: Use a USB Key of 16 GB, 3.0 (transfer speed). Try using a pen drive from a trusted brand Note: Format the USB Key before downloading any update When you format USB Key, all the files it contains will disappear. For Windows: Put the USB Key into the computer. Open the File Explorer (press "Windows + E"). Right click on the corresponding removable disk. Left click on "Format". Check that the "File System“ is set to default FAT32 (default). Left click on "Start"

Next we invite you to go to your DS vehicle to finalize the update 03 DOWNLOAD THE MAPPING (It may take 40 minutes depending on the internet connection Once you have downloaded the mapping, extract the file and copy it to the root of the USB Key. 04 ARCHITECTURE OF THE USB KEY DRIVE The architecture of your USB Key must match the one shown below. Next we invite you to go to your DS vehicle to finalize the update

TRANSFER OF THE FILE TO THE VEHICLE 05 TRANSFER OF THE FILE TO THE VEHICLE Note: It is necessary that the engine is running during the full update. For hybrid vehicles and Stop & Start, deactivate the echo mode to avoid suspension of the system. Do not use the system during the update (navigation, multimedia, telephone, Bluetooth or any other functionality). It is recommended not to move around during the update Do not remove the USB Key memory before the update process finishes. Step 5.1 : Connect the USB Key stick in the USB port of the vehicle Step 5.2 : Select the "Navigation" function on the touch screen Step 5.3 : Follow the instructions on the touch screen (screenshots appearing in the procedure below).

Create a "license" folder at the root of the USB Key drive (write the word literally) Copy the license in the "license" folder of the USB Key drive. Step 3.2 : Download th software for the update.
