Presentation transcript:

“My child’s key person is very helpful & keeps me informed.” NURSERY 2017 Even better if … More explanation of the daily routine so that we can help prepare our children. Earlier notification of settling in dates. Know the email address of our key person so that working parents can make contact. Thank you for your feed back. This is what parents/carers told us about settling their child into nursery This is what you liked: Friendly, welcoming, supportive & approachable staff. Home visit – enjoyed meeting the teachers. Stay & play session & gradual start. Opportunity to visit the nursery before my child started. Allowing me to stay and watch my child. Knowing that the nursery would call me if they needed me. I can talk about my concerns. I can speak to my child’s key person and they inform me how her day was. We We have: Displayed the visual timetable that we use with the children on the ‘Parent information Board’ outside the Headteacher’s office. Ensured that working parents can email the nursery teacher – clairecobain@arlesdene.herts.sch.uk so that they can liaise with their key person. We will: Continue to focus on each child’s development. Continue to monitor the settling in process. Explore different ways to share children’s learning with parents You said that your child was helped to: Settle very quickly and get support from their key person. Feel safe as they knew I could stay if they needed me. Enjoy the stay & play session as I was with them. Enjoy their time at nursery.     “My child’s key person is very helpful & keeps me informed.” “I was very happy with the way WE settled my daughter.”
