Body Mass Index a ratio that allows you to assess your body size in relation to your height and weight

BMI Formula BMI = Weight (in pounds) X 703 divided by height (in inches) squared Here’s how to find the BMI for a male who weighs 145 and is 65 inches tall. BMI = (145 x 705) / (65)² BMI = 102,225 / 4,225 BMI = 24.19 or 24

Body Composition The ratio of body fat to lean body tissue. Obesity - having an excess amount of body weight. (BMI = 30 or Above) Overweight - a condition in which a person is heavier than the standard weight range. (BMI = 25 – 29.9) Average – having a normal body weight (BMI = 18.5 – 24.9) Underweight - a condition in which a person is less than the standard weight range. (BMI = Below 18.5)
