9th and 10th GRADES: Building the Foundation! ACADEMICS: Choose challenging courses. Keep your grades up! All Grades Matter (even those from 9th grade) and are computed into your GPA and rank! Seek out extra help if you need it, from teachers, peer tutors, etc. Take the PSAT in 10th grade (No registration req’d. Will be taken at school in Oct.)

9th and 10th GRADES: Building the Foundation! Extra-curriculars Get Involved! Participate in clubs, activities, community service opportunities, employment, sports, etc. Take on leadership roles! Student Athletes: Research NCAA eligibility guidelines! Start an Activity Resume (a record of all extracurricular involvement, honors/awards, etc.) Sample in folder.

Start Investigating Careers & Colleges! Participate in career interest assessments and research careers via NAVIANCE program (Guidance-led activity) Check out college websites Visit colleges, even if for athletic events, cultural activities, or camp programs Attend College Fairs (RCGC, NACAC in Atlantic City, Washington Twp. High School, etc.)
