Why use Flickr? Even the free account is good stuff Pro account isn’t too pricey Accessible via the web from just about anywhere Easy and fun to use Everyone else is doing it Experience with the concept of social networking Experience with folksonomies and tagging

What we’re doing with Flickr now Online photo storage & management Easy upload, sort, & detail editing The joy of tags Internal sharing Public vs. Private Easy photo posting on web site Prefab HTML coding Teaching patrons to use the service Account set up in July 2005 Most photos are uploaded marked “Private” to begin with, then marked “Public” when permission is granted, or when the details of a photo are all filled in.
