One New York The Plan for a Strong and Just City

Objectives OneNYC is a comprehensive plan that seeks to prepare New York City for its fifth century The Plan envisions how we want our City to look in ten years, twenty years, and beyond We articulate the goals and initiatives designed to achieve that long-term vision OneNYC connects with other City efforts, including the Ten-year Capital Strategy, the Executive Budget, and the Center for Economic Opportunity’s Poverty Report The long term plan for our city as we look toward 400th anniversary in 2025

Building on a Solid Foundation Pre-2014 2007 PlaNYC growth – 2011 PlaNYC sustainability – SIRR resiliency – 10 year capital plan

Our Growing, Thriving City Our Just and Equitable City OneNYC: Our Four Visions This plan is organized across four strategic visions Our Growing, Thriving City Our Just and Equitable City Our Sustainable City Our Resilient City Growth: Promoting economic growth, balancing physical growth, and making sure we have infrastructure required to accommodate Equity: addressing disparities among neighborhoods and populations. Whether its health outcomes, healthcare access, the quality or infrastructure and services, or educational opportunities, the plan aims to confront these issues head on. Sustainability:: Lessen our contributions to the causes of climate change – reduction in greenhouse gases, the amount of waste we produce, the cleanliness of our air and water as well as stormwater management, and major initiatives related to open space Resiliency: How we are adapting, and fortifying the City, to prepare for the effects of climate change and disruptive weather events.
