DEVELOPING TEACHING SKILLS IN PE (GED3043)

Micro Teaching A laboratory approach for teaching development designed to help individuals develop and refine their teaching skills and to practice constructive feedback.

Micro Teaching A scaled down, stimulated teaching session Opportunity for safe practice Improve content & delivery Focused feedback

Objectives To understand the meaning of micro teaching To understand the roles of micro teaching in the teaching profession To plan your lesson for a micro teaching session

What happens? Participants review basic ideas about teaching, check current practices, observe and learn new ideas from colleagues, try out new strategies, and share feedback with colleagues in a constructive atmosphere.

Understanding micro teaching It is a mock teaching session. Your peers or colleagues are your learners. You must teach your subject matter. You must imagine the situation as your real classroom environment.
