SC18 Previous Action Items ACTION ITEM 2014-3 (June 2014) – TG3 (API Monogram Program) is to provide proposed language in a document format that can be balloted to SC18 in order to provide guidance on qualification by the identified licensee classifications. ACTION ITEM 2014-4 (June 2014) – API is to ballot the TG3 formatted document to the SC18 membership to develop comments on the content of the TG3 document. ACTION ITEM 2014-5 (June 2014) – TG3 is to return and summarize to SC18 the result of comment ballot input with the intent that SC18 determine the next steps in use of the TG3 information. ACTION ITEM 2014-6 (June 2014) TG6 chair is to format the document to facilitate review of the data for approval by the subcommittee. Document developed and being finalized for ballot M- S-P (June 2015) to close.

SC18 Previous Action Items (Continued) ACTION ITEM 2015-1 (Jan 2015) – TG3 Chair is to develop an SRRR form for the development of a TR for the data from the TG3 activities that will be published for intended use by the MPB and the product subcommittees. SRRR submitted and approved by CSOEM M-S-P (June 2015) to close. ACTION ITEM 2015-2 (Jan 2015) – SC18 Chair is to notify the CSOEM and other SC chair of the upcoming ballot for TG3 document. CSOEM was notified as well as the SC Chairs. M-S-P (June 2015) to close. ACTION ITEM 2015-4 (Jan 2015) – API to Open a Comment Only Ballot for the new TG7 Document. Ballot closed and comments being resolved by TG. M-S-P (June 2015) to close. ACTION ITEM 2015-5 (Jan 2015) – TG6 Chair is to develop an SRRR form for the development of a TR for the data from the TG6 activities. SRRR submitted and approved by CSOEM. Update on SC18 Task Group 3 [Attachment 11] Task Group 3 (TG3) – Task Group on Recommendations for Improvements to the API Monogram Program Charge: To review issues and develop recommendations for improvements to the API Monogram program i. NWI 3002 – [NWI Language Summary: Have a study conducted and recommendations made on the appropriate licensee classifications which organizations should be qualified per a given specification, e.g., assembler, steel manufacturer, etc.] Three action items (2014-3, 2014-4, 2014-5) remain open. M-S-P- Extend comment ballet period for Technical Report TG3 from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Products within API Standards 20D, 20G, 20H & 20J are not monogrammable and are not within the scope of this report

Update on SC18 Task Group 3 (Continued) Organizations that should not be considered for Monogram Distributor Designer Remanufacturer/Repairer Plating/Coating Provider Licensees under each of the following Categories shall have in-house equipment, and personnel and shall perform the required processes needed to produce the products under the scope of the license: Mill Processor Assembler Tester Machiner

Update on SC18 Task Group 5 [ Attachment 12] Task Group 5 (TG5) – Quality Management System for the Service Sector Charge: Develop language for potential revisions of Spec Q2, beta- test site assessments for various drilling services and to create a document in order to facilitate the use of the new Spec Q2 (1st Edition). ACTION ITEM 2015-6 (June 2015) To have the voting Q2 members review the current sections of API Spec Q2 being evaluated for the Technical Report and provide feedback and input if other sections need to be included by the end of September to chair of TG5. ACTION ITEM 2015-7 (June 2015) SC18 Chair to coordinate sending a request to IADC requesting participation of their membership on SC18 TG5. Q1.

Update on SC18 Task Group 6 [Attachment 13] Task Group 6 (TG6) – Welding Requirements in the API Product Specifications (Bud Weightman) Charge: To review all API product specifications and recommended practices and to cross-functionally identify requirements for welding, brazing and soldering; the purpose is to identify criteria to be recommended for use where these processes are required. Document (TR) proposed for ballot in July.

Update on SC18 Task Group 7 [Attachment 14] Task Group 7 (TG7) – Product Life Cycle (Mike Briggs) Charge: To create a life-cycle management system document that provides the means of identifying the continued compliance of product to its original and/or current manufacturing and design requirements and the ability to demonstrate product compliance to original and/or current product standards and industry/product- specific technical and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle Status: Draft Document was circulated on a comment ballot to SC18 and notification was sent to SC chairs requesting comments as well. There were 216 comments in total on the comment ballot and the TG has 125 comments remaining to be resolved. One are that has come up in the comments and is being heavily debated by the TG is if a Q2 QMS is required or if a Q1 QMS would be adequate.

Update on SC18 Task Group 8 [Attachment 15] Task Group 8 (TG8) Spec Q1 Guidance Document – (Bo Creek) Charge: To create a document in order to facilitate the use of the new Spec Q1, 9th Edition and to work with API Staff to determine the need for beta-site assessments and/or mock audits based on the new Spec Q1, 9th Edition. API Technical Report 18TR1, Guidance on Changes to API Q1, Ninth Edition, First Edition, published on June 5, 2015. Work accepted and Task Group is disbanded. M-S-P

Update on SC18 Task Group 9 [Attachment 16] Task Group 9 (TG9) – New task group (Jim Hood) Charge: To review the BSEE FIT-QC Report on connector bolt failures to determine if the current requirements of API Spec Q1- Quality Management System Requirements for Manufacturing Organizations for the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industry 9th, June 2013 has the provisions needed to ensure that system control features are in place, and clearly stated, to eliminate these type of failures in the future. First TG meeting delayed. Meeting planned for after summer meeting.

Monogram Program Report from SC18 Liaison to the API Monogram Program Board (MPB) – [Attachment 17] SC18 TG 3 output is in process. MPB recommends commenting on this document. If API product standard is silent on manufacturing requirements, SC18 TG3 document will be used by Monogram Program once published. If API product standard contains manufacturing requirements, they will be used by Monogram Program in lieu of SC18 TG3 document. NOTE: An API SC could write manufacturing requirements document for entire SC and release as addendum for all documents under their purview. New Business Items M-S-P – To reactivate Task Group 2. Raouf Naguib will chair M-S-P – To charge TG2 to review FDIS ISO 9001:2015 for possible changes needed to API Spec Q1 and to report back to SC18 on the gap analysis. Motion to charge TG5 to review FDIS ISO 9001:2015 for possible changes needed to APIQ2 and to report the gap analysis to SC18 – Motion failed.
