2 Task Group Group: 19B & RP67 Chair: Mark Brinsden
Number of Standards and RPs: 2 Meetings in last 12 months: Main meetings and approximately 18 meetings covering 19B and 67 sections each with about 5 participants for 1-2 hours. We would estimate about 200 hours for main meetings, 125 hours for Section meetings and about 250 hours for correspondence and work on writing sections. * Held on Video conference between Houston and Buenos Aires & Conf. 3 Document Designation API RP 19B – about 95% complete
• Section 1 is approved and complete. • Section 2 has been completed, ballot closing Jan 27th 2017. • Section 3 is approved and complete. • Section 4 is approved and complete. • Section 5 has been completed, ballot closing Jan 27th 2017. • Section 6 has been completed, ballot closing Jan 27th 2017. • Section 7 - a new section 7 is proposed for hole size – under consideration as a future addendum. Focus of change: Chair: Considerable effort in witness qualification and evaluation for consistency is underway, for Sect 1 and also Sect. 2 and Sect. 6. Thermal Decomposition study still awaiting API funding – ongoing for 2 years. A new review of Perforation Physics and modelling has been set up to look at how Section 2 charge penetration data can be used for consistent modelling. SC Liaison: Comments Subcommittee 19

4 Document Designation API RP 67 –100% complete
• All sections have been reviewed and document is out for ballot closing Feb 20th 2017. API RP 67 – Ongoing request for funding • Oilfield Explosives Safety – gun system drop testing for HMX sensitivity after exposure to elevated temperature. • $175k (or $100k if prior funds of $72,850 are still available) – requested for 2017 Conclusion – API RP19B and RP67 Committees will remain very active following the current completion of these revisions. Extensive further updates and new work is expected to continue. Notes of appreciation to be sent out to the active participants. Subcommittee 19

5 Action Items from Last Meeting
1. API is to complete the balloting process for Section 2. 2. API is to initiate balloting on the final drafts of RP-19B Sections 5 and 6, and the full RP-67 document. 3. Those interested in participating in the enhancement of the Registration and Witness Program are to contact Oliver Han 4. Will Freeman is to provide the Task Group a list of current witnesses, their locations and cost. 5. Will Freeman and the Witness Work Group will develop a witness training program. 6. Will Freeman is to determine the status of funding for proposed projects, and update the Task Group. 7. Will Freeman is to confirm that the method of payment for Thermal Decomposition testing at LLNL (payment from API to LLNL) has been resolved. 8. Those interested in participating in the development of a Section 2 downhole penetration model are to contact Mark Brinsden 9. Will Freeman is to develop a process for a depository for digitized data sheets. 10. Will Freeman of API will host the May 2017 Task Group meeting in Houston. 11. Schlumberger and Hunting Titan will organize a Perforating Safety Forum in May 2017. Subcommittee 19
