Outline What is my major? Requirements? What is interesting near the college? Tuition? Background? History of college?

What made me want to attend Akron? I'm going to Akron University because I have my whole family that lives in Akron. This is going to help me cope with being away from home. I'm going to major in Computer Science. The University of Akron has one of the greatest Computer Science programs in the country.

The University of Akron was Established in 1870 Location: Akron,Ohio In 1870: The institution now known as The University of Akron was founded as Buchtel College by the Ohio Universalist Convention. In 1872: Buchtel College opened its doors to 46 collegiate students, 171 preparatory students and seven faculty members In 1926: Trustees change the institution's name to The University of Akron

Requirements English - four units Mathematics - three units Natural Science - three units Social Science - three units Foreign Language - two units No entrance exam Scores on the ACT or SAT (ACT Writing Test is recommended). ACT Score Required is a minimum of a 17.
