Duties and Abilities Fashion Representatives usually work for a manufacturing company Their main duties are persuading buyers and retail purchasing agents to buy their company’s products They may arrange special events, trunk shows or in-store fashions shows, to show what their company has to sell

Education They are actually no minimum education requirements but it is recommended that one who wants to pursue this career takes some classes in fashion, marketing, advertising, and sales to be good at their job. A vocational/trade school is a good place to start.

Personal Qualities In order to excel in this career it is good to be outgoing, confident, have great communication skills, and creativity

Salary Entry Level: 15,000 – 30,000 per year Median Level: 40,000 – 75,000+ per year Top Level: 80,000 – 100,000+ per year Also note, in many Fashion Representive jobs there will be commission For this career salary is based on experience

Location and Availability In 2014-2024 there is going to be a 7% increase in Fashion Representative jobs It is good to live in a major city for this career like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, or San Francisco
