WHY ARE THEY FAMOUS/IMPORTANT Dr. Martin Luther King was a Civil Rights Leader – (which means that he was a leader who was fighting for the Rights of African Americans) He wrote a famous speech called, “I have a Dream” He led a march in Washington D.C. that had over 200, 000 people

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s DIP Martin Luther King was arrested over 20 times while fighting for equal rights. His house was bombed by mean people. His life was constantly threatened and many people bullied him through out his life.

Defeating the DIP! Although Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. faced many conflicts and pain, he didn’t give up on his journey for equal rights. Because he didn’t give up, he helped many people achieve equal rights and influenced new laws to protect everyone.
