2 True or False? If false, what can we change to make it true?
Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday is a national day in the USA. African-Americans suffered because of laws in the American North. Segregation means that a black person can sit next to a white person on the bus. King wanted all protests and marches to be violent. King’s dream was for a better world for everyone.

Review Introduction – page 7 Where did you find the answer? Write down the page number. What did King’s early life teach him about segregation and white people? Why did MLK move North? Why did he return to the South after college? How did Jim Crow laws change life for African Americans in the South?

What are some rights you have today that your parents or grandparents didn’t? What are some reasons that people segregate? Are there any good reasons to segregate people?
