God’s Promises 2 Peter 3.9 Are Better Are Great and Precious Promises of God [adv] (2 Pet 3:9 NKJV) The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. [adv] Are Better (Heb 8:6 NKJV) But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. [adv] Are Great and Precious (2 Pet 1:3-4 NKJV) as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, {4} by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

God’s Promises Are Better Are Great and Precious Are Certain All Nations Blessed Are Certain (2 Cor 1:18-20 NKJV) But as God is faithful, our word to you was not Yes and No. {19} For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us; by me, Silvanus, and Timothy; was not Yes and No, but in Him was Yes. {20} For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. (Gal 3:16 NKJV) Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, "And to seeds," as of many, but as of one, "And to your Seed," who is Christ.

For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more." [adv] Remission of Sins (Acts 2:38-39 NKJV) Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. {39} "For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call."

Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you." {18} "I will be a Father to you, And you shall be My sons and daughters, Says the LORD Almighty." (2 Cor 7:1 NKJV) Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. [adv] The Kingdom (James 2:5 NKJV) Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him? (1 John 5:2 NKJV) By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.

(2 Tim 1:1 NKJV) Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, (Titus 1:2 NKJV) in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began, (1 John 2:25 NKJV) And this is the promise that He has promised us; eternal life. (1 Tim 4:8 NKJV) For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that which is to come.

God’s Promises Are Better Are Great and Precious Are Certain All Nations Blessed The Gospel Remission of Sins Children of the Father The Kingdom Life Crown Inheritance Crown (2 Tim 4:8 NKJV) Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (James 1:12 NKJV) Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. [adv] Inheritance (Gal 3:29 NKJV) And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Eph 3:6 NKJV) that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, (Heb 9:15 NKJV) And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

God’s Promises After Doing God’s Will Can Come Short Are Better Are Great and Precious Are Certain All Nations Blessed The Gospel Remission of Sins Children of the Father The Kingdom Life Crown Inheritance New Heavens & New Earth New Heavens & New Earth (2 Pet 3:13 NKJV) Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. [adv] AFTER DOING GOD’s will (Heb 6:12 NKJV) that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb 10:23 NKJV) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (Heb 10:36 NKJV) For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise: [adv] Can Come Short (Heb 4:1-2 NKJV) Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. {2} For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.
