4. Sin is a form of moral slavery
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage.

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?

21. Lessons for us today

22. If we do not want to serve God here, we will not enjoy heaven.
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Hebrews 12:28

23. We must have the desire to follow God.
21 What fruit did you have then in the things of which you are now ashamed? For the end of those things is death. 22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.
Romans 6:21-22

24. Conclusion
1. If man wants to see heaven, you cannot be a slave of sin.
2. Only freeing yourself from sin through obedience to the gospel will allow someone to be right with God and gain heaven as their home.
