You and a partner are going to travel around the world for a month to help scientist Dr. Goldman solve a mystery. He has been noticing that 1,200 animals are on an endangered list. It is up to you to crack this mystery. I hope you are ready for this difficult job and get ready to work hard!

You have to be as persuasive as possible. Task You and your partner are assigned to a scientific investigation to figure out why certain animals are endangered. Together you will choose a certain animal that appears on the endangered list. You will then create a letter and poster explaining why your animal is endangered and how can we help them. You have to be as persuasive as possible.

Process Step 1: With the member of your science team, you will choose an endangered animal that you would like to research. *Once you have chosen an animal post your animal’s name on a post it on our class chart. Step 2: Research your animal Pay attention to: Animal’s habitat Why the animal is considered endangered What are some things that you think can be done to get this animal off the endangered list.

Process: Part II Step 3: Write a letter addressed to the Save the Animal Foundation. You must: Introduce yourself (age, school, city and state) Provide 3 facts about your animal Explain why your animal is endangered What can we do to save the animal? Step 4: Create a poster as a visual. It should include: Name of the animal Endangered animal and it’s habitat
