4. Process: Each group member will have a task. Data Collector: The Data Collector will write down and collect all information found during the project. This member will also be in charge of the “Pick” during the dig. Investigator: This group member will be in charge of locating information and data. This member will be in charge of the “Spade” during the dig Dig Supervisor: Is in charge of identifying the dinosaur and finding out when and where the dinosaur lived, as well as its size, and diet. This member will be in charge of the “Brush” during the dig. Groups: Group 1: Alberta Group 2: Montana Group 3: Wyoming Group 4: Niger Group 5: Mongolia

6. Introduction: Alberta Rex needs your help! You will be traveling to a location around the world and digging up dinosaur fossils hidden in the ground. Imagine yourself walking home and see something sticking out of the ground. You approach it and discover it is a type of bone! What tools will you use to remove it and how do you know what it is? Let’s start digging!

7. Task: Students will learn… To define what a paleontologist is and what they do. To identify tools associated with dinosaur digs. Where dinosaur fossils are found. When dinosaurs lived and Lastly the will identify what type of dinosaur they dug up and present information about that dinosaur.
