1 A WebQuest for th Grade(Science) Designed by: Shane McGrory Shaneo@camden.rutgers.edu

2 Sea World is in the middle of building a brand new shark exhibit in Orlando but their top marine biologists are busy in the Gulf. Our class has been chosen to conduct the research for the “Shark Sanctuary” to make sure all sharks in the exhibit make a safe /healthy transition to Orlando. You and your partner will conduct research on two types of sharks and present this information to the scientists at Sea World.

3 You and your partner in exploration are assigned two different types of sharks to research. Design a PowerPoint page for each shark to use when presenting to the class and marine biologists from Sea World.

4 Marine Biologist Groups Team1- Mako Shark and Bull Shark Team 2- Great White and Hammerhead Team 3- Lemon Shark and Goblin Shark Team 4-Whale and Tiger Sharks Team 5- Basking and Thresher Sharks Team 6-Dogfish and Blue Sharks

5 Use the shark report located on the next page to fill out as a reference for the information you will need to find. Go to Shark Information sheets to find out the information needed for your assigned sharks.Shark Information sheets After you and your fellow marine biologist conduct your research fill out your shark reports and build your PowerPoint slides. Include an real life picture of your sharks and be sure to include all the information from your shark reports.
