4 INTRODUCTION Current date: May, 2029 This is the United States Government. You have been selected to represent a matter of national interest. Many animals have been becoming extinct from our planet and our only hope is to send a team of researchers back to the year 2009 in order to bring awareness to what will happen in 20 years from then. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to go back to the year 2009 and do as much research on an endangered species as you can. A list of animals will be provided to you at the briefing at 0900 hours. You will be sent to Mrs. Well’s sixth grade classroom in order to execute this mission. We hope you will be successful in this quest. Many animals are counting on you for their very survival. Good Luck. The President of the United States

5 TASK YOUR Briefing: Welcome to Government Agency A.R.A. The Animal Renewal Agency. Your mission has now begun. You have been selected due to your excellent research skills. You and your team have been assigned the dangerous task of being sent back to the year 2009 in order to create a webpage on an animal that was once endangered and has now become extinct. You and your team must research an animal and acquire important information that will help people learn why we need to save it and how we can protect it. When your task is complete you will be returned to the year 2029. You are dismissed.

6 Once you have collected all your research and information. Use Microsoft Office to create a webpage document. You will need to include the following information on the page: About the Endangered Animal Current Status and Condition Why the Animal is Endangered How You Can Help In addition to these headings you can also include links to websites, photos of your animal, ways to contribute to foundations and links to make donations.
