Career assessments, interest inventories, job shadowing Research colleges that have your intended major or program using www.CFNC.org or www.Collegeboard.org There are many resources to help you research colleges and careers, most are online. If you are not sure where to start, completing a interest inventory or career assessment may help with exploring your options. This is important to do the first semester of your junior year, this will provide time for you to prepare and register for standardized testing, improve your gpa, get involved with extracurricular activities, visit colleges, talk with recruiters or participate in job shadowing.

Even though it’s a great idea to visit the website, college research tools are much more user friendly.

The website is great to use to find out about guest speakers who will be coming to the campus, pictures of student activities and the campus as well as the clubs and activities that student participate in. Finding the information you need to narrow your choices down is easier to navigate with the tools we just went over
