Warm Ups Star Drill-Hand passing Purpose: Description: 5 Groups – Sliotars start at group 1. You skip the group to your right. Drill goes from 1-2, 2-3, 3-4, 4-5, 5-1. Follow ball and join back of group. Add in more balls. Variation: Go in the opposite direction. Bring cones in to tighten up the space (players to weave in and out without touching any other players)

Warm Ups Through the Square Purpose: Description: Players in pairs with a ball as shown. Inside player hand-passes ball to partner and receives pass back and passes to any other person on the outside and receive a pass back. Player works for 1 min and then partner goes. Variations: Add Time limit 30 seconds to make at least 6 passes. Pass the sliotar and swap places. Run around partner after passing. Instead of jab lift perform a high catch.

Warm Ups 3 Man Move Purpose: Description: Set up four large squares around the pitch as shown. Players in groups of 3 must strike the ball in sequence to one of their team mates. Once a player strikes the ball he must run to the closest free square to him. All players moving at all times.  

Warm Ups Catch your partner Purpose: Description: All players are paired off in one square. Each pair must pass the ball to each other while continuously moving. Once the coach blows his whistle the player without possession must tag their partner who is in possession within 20 seconds.  

Warm Ups Dynamic Warm Up Purpose: Description: Players jog to end and Karaoke facing each other on way back. Players side skip two steps to the right and two to the left to end cone and karaoke opposite way back in. Players side skip to the left and two to right to end and jog backwards. Lunges on the way back. Players jog forward and dynamic groin stretch every 2 steps to end cone. Players sprint to cone 3 backwards to cone 2 forwards to end cone. Feet pointing forwards.

Warm Ups Dynamic Warm up with 4 Purpose: Description: 4 Players line up as shown. Players jog to cone on 20m line and 2 players branch off and come back down outside lanes. Players perform side skips, high knee, heel flicks etc. Each player has own Sliotar which he rolls in front of himself and jab lifts into hand Dynamic stretching (Hamstring, Groin ,Quad, Calves and upper body)

Warm Ups Two Triangles Purpose: Description: Set up two Triangles as shown. Players throw ball to their left for team mate to catch and player follows ball to cone. Variations: Player throw ball for High Catch. Players roll ball along the ground for first touch into hand. One triangle changes direction.

Warm Ups Meet the ball Purpose: Description: Player at cone 1 moves to cone 2 and as he is passing cone 2 the feeder strikes the ball to him from cone 3. Ball can be played on the ground/to the hand/thrown in the air to practice first touch and high catch.   Feeder can only feed ball when player is moving at pace which encourage players to move into the ball and take on the move. Change feeders.

Warm Ups Receive and Pass Purpose: Description: 2 sliotars between 4 players as shown. Outside players pass to inside player who gives hand pass to player at opposite cone. Players then turn and take ball off same feeder and repeat process. Feeder can roll ball on ground for first touch or high ball for Catch. Rotate players.

Warm Ups Speed Reaction Purpose: Description: Players are numbers 1 and 2. On coaches call ( 1 or 2) that player turns and sprints to their line while partner tries to tag him before he reaches the line. Coach varies the distance between players and varies the calls ie. Backwards / Forwards / Jumping Jacks etc. Coach now stands at top of line and calls Left or Right for players to sprint in that direction again looking to tag partner before he reaches line. Alternate starting position.

Warm Ups 5 Pass Game to score Purpose: Description: Set up area as shown. 5 V 5 hand pass possession game inside the square. 2 Sliotars at poles. Game starts at call of colour by coach. First team to get 5 passes can shoots for score. Game restarts when coach calls next colour. Increase size of box to include striking to hand. Coach can increase / decrease number of passes required before allowing shot. 3 squares going on at same time.

Warm Ups Give and Control Purpose: Description: Groups of 4. 2 on end line and 2 on 20m line. Player 1 strikes ball into team mates hand for first touch and follows pass. Player strikes ball along ground for first touch. Player hand passes ball to team mate. Players Jab lift ball and drops for team mate to do same. Strike ball to partner and step out in front of him to make sure he avoids the tackle.
