WHY I WANT TO PURSUE THIS CAREER TO HELP KEEP PEOPLE SAFE ON THE ROAD AND HIGHWAYS. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO BE AN INSPECTOR. I AM VERY INTERESTED IN TRUCKS HOW THEY MOVE HOW THEY ROLL AND I AM INTERESTED IN ENGINES.
Career Description Transportation inspectors enforce safety regulations in the transportation industry by examining vehicles and their cargo. Transportation inspectors perform inspections to enforce regulations and safety standards related to cargo and vehicles. Some inspectors patrol the highways and stopping commercial vehicles for inspections. Inspectors need excellent knowledge of both vehicles and transportation regulations.
GOALS Short term goal - take automotive technology at Riverside and finish high School Long term goal - go to British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and take the Commercial Transport Mechanic Foundation CERTIFICATE

New hires receive extensive training, which often takes place both on-the-job and in the classroom.
