Action Files Set of instructions for moving data and performing other tasks Stored as a .cfm file on web server Perform any function that ColdFusion can undertake Data selection and transport Email notifications with report or mail merge Customizable

Imports Bring data into an ASI product Can come from a file or database Available import types vary by product

Exports Extract data from an ASI product for use in another system Can generate output to a file or a database Based on report built in the associated ASI product Some export types may add limiting conditions automatically Logic to prevent transactions from being exported twice

Reports Send email based on previously saved report Two basic options: Email data to a group of staff members or faculty Email a mail-merge letter to everyone in the report

Launcher An action that launches multiple actions Some uses: Chain imports Send a report of exported data

Trigger Execute an action based on an event that occurs in real time Triggering events vary based on external systems Can set conditions based on changing data

Scheduling Schedule actions to run when needed Resource intensive operations can be run off-hours Quick operations can be run multiple times a day Can set multiple schedules for a given action
