Do you need to develop examples of skills as evidence for your job search documents? Do you need to grow or broaden your network? Is there further education or training that would help you achieve your career ambitions? Do you need to conduct more labour market research? Do you need more information about what is required to reach your career aspirations? Are there changes you could make to enhance your interpersonal skills? Could your future career benefit from developing better communication skills? What barriers do you see that could interfere with you reaching your career plans? Will further study enhance your career prospects? If so, where will you find information on what study will be of benefit? And will you need to achieve certain grades to be eligible? Action What actions can you take now to help you reach your career goals? Ensure the courses you choose to study enhance your desired career outcomes. Talk to relevant people about your career aspirations and SMART goals. Write SMART goals to enable your career plan to move forward. What ideas, suggestions, feedback or knowledge do you contribute to your professional network to enhance reciprocity within your network? Be open to opportunities and extending yourself beyond your comfort zone. Do you believe that you are in control of your career direction? If not, what can you do to gain control?
