Programming Coral IPx Telephones

FlexSet 281S w/ DSS Console T208 w/ TEM Tadiran makes several different phones that work with the Coral IPX line of phone systems. The nice thing about them is that they all are programmed the same. These phones are very easy to program but I often see users that have no idea how to customize their phones the way they like them. Most of the time, the system is installed and the installer does some basic programming to the phones and they stay that way because users don’t know how to change them. This series of programming tutorials is geared towards helping end user customize their phones.

Customizing your phone Programming is the pretty much the same for all models for all Coral IPx phone systems Easy to customize for each user Feature rich – more than one feature can be programmed under one button There is often multiple ways of doing the same programming. For this tutorial we will be using the Feature Codes and not programming via the soft keys under the display. You can see when a feature is activated by looking at the display. If there is a bullet to the left of the feature it means it is active.

Programming System Speed Dial Libraries System Libraries can normally only be programmed by the Attendant. They are put in “bins” that are identified by numbers. The bin #’s are 6000 – 6999. Dial the Feature Code #194 Dial the Library you want to change – ex 6000 The display will then show Public Lib 6000 and under that it will show what is currently programmed in 6000. Then you will enter the number exactly as you would dial it from you phone. Don’t forget the 9! Ex: 93035551212 Then press the next button to save and program 6001 if needed. Test by dialing 6000 (or the correct bin #) You can now assign these speed dials to a button if you want to. Tadiran calls speed dials - libraries. The number of personal speed dials is determined when the system is first installed. Users normally have 10 speed dials but can have more. Once the speed dials are programmed you can assign them to buttons.

Programming Personal Speed Dial Libraries Each user normally has at least 10 personal speed dial numbers. They are put in “bins” that are identified by numbers. The bin #’s are 7000 – 7009. Dial the Feature Code #193 Dial the Library you want to change – ex 7000 The display will then show Priv Lib 7000 and under that it will show what is currently programmed in 7000. Then you will enter the number exactly as you would dial it from you phone. Don’t forget the 9! Ex: 93035551212 Then press the next button to save and program 7001 if needed. Test by dialing 7000 (or the correct bin #) You can now assign these speed dials to a button if you want to. Tadiran calls speed dials - libraries. The number of personal speed dials is determined when the system is first installed. Users normally have 10 speed dials but can have more. Once the speed dials are programmed you can assign them to buttons.
