3 The Mitel 5320e telephone features a large backlit graphics display and sixteen self-labeling keys. Eight self-labeling keys are featured on each of the two pages. You can navigate between the two pages by using the two silver keys on the bottom of the telephone below the LCD display. The 5320e IP Phone also has three softkeys to help users easily navigate through telephony functions at the top of the LCD display. Navigation Page Keys

6 Making a Call Lift the handset OR Press Dial the Extension number OR Dial 8 +1 + area code + telephone number for external calls and the phone number. Answering a Call Lift the handset OR Press, and begin speaking.

7 Place a Call on Hold Press (Red Hold Button) The Call Key flashes. Replace the handset if necessary. * The hold function is used when you need to put a call on hold for yourself, not another user. Retrieve a Call from Hold Lift the handset OR Press (Speaker Button) Press the flashing Call Key. Hold Button

8 Transfer a Call Press Dial the extension number. Hang up OR wait for an answer to announce the transfer and then hang up. Transfer a Call to an Outside Number Press Dial 8 + 1 + area code + the outside phone number. Wait for an answer to announce the transfer and then hang up. Conference a Call While on a call Press Dial the extension or 8 + 1 + area code + the outside phone number Wait for an answer. Press to connect the callers Transfer & Conference Button

9 Redial: To redial the last number you dialed out simply lift your handset or press, then press the Redial button. This will allow you to redial the last outside number you dialed out. Menu: Gives the user options to view Call History or change the text size or contrast of screen. Once the Blue Menu Button is pressed the center LCD screen will change with your options to view Call History or Change Screen Settings. Menu & Redial Menu Button Redial Button

10 To turn Mute on during a conversation: Press (MUTE). The Mute key light turns ON. To turn Mute off and return to conversation: Press (MUTE). The Mute key light turns OFF. Mute Button Volume Controls Adjust Volume Levels Adjust ringer volume while the phone is ringing. Adjust handset or speaker volume while using the handset or speaker. Press repeatedly to raise the volume OR Press repeatedly to lower the volume.

11 Voicemail can be accessed in two ways: 1.Through the phones (similar to existing 3Com phone system) See instructions on following pages 2.Email attachment The new Mitel phone system will be integrated with your Birmingham email address so voicemail messages will be sent to your email with the message as an audio attachment. When you open the attachment the voicemail will play through your default audio player. Voicemails can be deleted by deleting the corresponding email, the audio files can be saved for future access the same way you save any email attachment, or forwarded to other people the same way you forward emails.

12 Message Key Retrieve a Voicemail Message Press It flashes when a message is waiting. Follow the voice mail prompts to retrieve your message.

13 LISTENING TO NEW MESSAGES To Listen to New Messages, Press 7 Press 3 to Discard (Delete) the Message Press 4 to Give (Forward) to Another User Press 5 to Keep (Save) the Message in your Voicemail Press # to Rewind the Message This will only rewind the message 3 seconds at a time You can press # multiple times for additional seconds Press * to Fast Forward the Message This will only forward 3 seconds at a time You can press * multiple times for additional seconds If you want to leave a voice message for a co-worker and do not want to listen to their greeting, press # to bypass their greetings and go directly into their voicemail.

14 User Options allows you to change your passcode, recorded name and select active greeting to be played. While in your voicemail, press 8 for User Options Press 4 to Change Your Greeting While in greetings, Press 5 to Listen to Current Greeting Press 7 to Record Greeting Press 4 to select the Extended Absence Greeting Press 7 to Record Greeting Press 6 to Change Your Recorded Name Press 7 to Listen to Current Recorded Name Press 7 to Record Name Press 7 to Change Your Passcode Enter 4 to 10 digits for your passcode
