Halloween takes places mainly in english speaking countries (EE Halloween takes places mainly in english speaking countries (EE.UU,United Kingdom…), and now it’s also celebrated in Europe and some other countries ( Colombia, Mexico…) PLACES

ORIGIN It comes from an ol Celtic celebration known as Samhain, which means “the end of summer”, in which they celebrated the end of the harvest period, the one that kept them away from starving in Winter.

SUPERSTITIONS Celtics also believed this night was magic and dead people spirit came down to our world so that it would be easier to get into contact with them. Beacuse os that people which had some dead relatives enjoyed this night more tan people which didn’t have

It was in 1920 more or less when this celebration started getting spread extremly fast all over the world, and at 70’s ending when it got popular all over the world, thanks to the cinema and some other means of comunication.

Nowadays Halloween is a celebration, still celebrated on October 31st, in which people do lots of things. They make Jack’o lanterns, decorate their houses and gardens, they dress up as scary creatures or watch horror films, and the most famous one, children knock door asking for candies and sweet, saying “ Trick or treat”!
