Expectations Grades 9 – 12 Agency and Accountability Time Management Organization Resourcefullness

Language Arts Electives Print Journalism – A year-long elective course that produces the school newspaper. The class is by application only and is open to students beginning in their sophomore year. Broadcast Journalism – A year-long elective course that produces the weekly news show. The class is by application only and is open to students during their senior year. Reading – For students reading two levels below grade level. Provides assistance for students having difficulty meeting AKS on grade level.

ELA Opportunities National English Honor Society Literary Magazine Membership Junior/Senior year Tutoring Literary Magazine Student-published art, poetry, short stories, etc. Available to all grade levels This is now a Hope Calculation Class
