INTOLERABLE ACTS 1774   Boston Tea party angered the British and they chose to master the colonies. The intolerable acts were a series of laws created to punish the colonists. The British called them the Coercive Acts but they were so harsh the colonies called them intolerable. CAUSES: _ Act would close the port of Boston until colonists paid for the destroyed tea.
