Measure B Projects

Measure B Projects (Cont.) New Bldgs.: Bldg. 700 (Comm/Student Services), Bldg. 400 (Instructional Offices), PE Facility office bldg and Bldg. 4000 (Main Facility Offices). Major Modernization: Bldg. 100, 300, 500, 800, 900, 1000 (not done), 1200, 1400, 1700, 1800, 1900, 2200 first floor, 2400 (not done), 2500, 2600, 2700, 2800 and 2900.

Measure B Projects (Cont.) Replacements: Athletic Facilities such as Softball & Soccer Fields, Tennis Court, Bathrooms by Tennis Courts, the snack bar, equipment storage and softball dugouts.

2012 Facility Master Plan

2012 Facility Master Plan (Cont.) The FMP recognizes the character, history and culture of the respective campus. The FMP moves development to renewal of existing facilities and an outward connection (invitation) to the community by increasing the visibility and identity of the college.

2012 Facility Master Plan (Cont.) Identifies nine (9) New Academic and (1) New M&O buildings. Nine Bldgs.: 100, 200, 1100, 1300 Lobby & Connection, 2000, 2100, 2300, 3600, and Annex

2012 Facility Master Plan (Cont.) Includes renovation of ten (10) buildings not addressed in Measure B. Bldg.: 1000, 1300, 1500, 1600, 2200, 3000, 3100, 3500, 3700, 3900 and pool. Requires demolition of seven (7) bldgs. and colonnade. Replaces and completes Athletic Field Improvements.

Understand the process of a project and time needs Facilities and Sustainability Committee recommend projects to President (By end of Fall 2016 Semester) President agrees and forwards them to Doug (By Dec. 20, 2016) User committee formed (Once Board approves projects) Design Architect will be selected (After Board approves projects)

Generate Design Development and Construction Document (Maybe 9 months) Construction Documents submit to DSA for approval (4-5 months) Contractor bids (3 months) Contractor will be selected (3 months includes Board approval of GC contract) Construction schedules (mid size project: 2 yrs)

Understand the process of a project and time needs (Cont.) Commissioning, Technology and FF&E. (Maybe 4 months) Approx. time needs for A project before construction: 2 years Construction of Mid size projects: 2 and ½ years

Allocation percentages for CC, LPC and District? Per FMP: there is a 2012 Facilities Master Plan Budget Analysis. Is this analysis still valid? Doug to discuss
